Marija Pavic is a Licensed Paralegal by the Law Society of Upper Canada. Marija became an employee of George Brown Professional Corporation in August of 2016 following the completion of the field placement she conducted with the Corporation as a student of Centennial College’s Accelerated Paralegal Program.
While a student at Centennial College, Marija was selected as a member of the Mock Trial team and competed in the Durham College Mock Trial Competition. Prior to commencing her paralegal studies, Marija received an B.A. with Honours from the University of Toronto, wherein she completed a double major in Political Science and History, and a minor in Croatian and Serbian studies. Throughout her undergraduate career, Marija served as the Athletics Commissioner of the St. Michael’s College Student Union, Captain and Coach of the St. Michael’s College women’s soccer team, and the President of the University of Toronto Croatian Student Association.
Most recently Marija spent time as a Student Border Service Officer in the Postal Operations Branch for the Canada Border Services Agency where she held and maintained secret security clearance. Through her time there, she promoted compliance with Canada's border, trade, and tax legislation and regulations through responsible enforcement, quality service, and education. Marija is certified in Control and Defensive tactics training, First Aid, and restricted and non-restricted firearms
In Marija’s spare time she enjoys playing soccer, kickboxing, reading, travelling, and spending time with her family and friends.
